Set on 35 acres of stunning grounds, this historical property sits just a short stroll from Fort Lauderdale Beach. While the history of the estate dates back thousands of years, Bonnet House itself was built in 1920. Hugh Taylor Birch purchased the estate for his daughter and her husband, the artist Frederic Clay Bartlett. Much of Frederick's work remains at the museum today, along with the paintings completed by his second wife. As renowned art collectors, the couple’s collection of work is sure to delight and surprise newlyweds-to-be and their guests alike. The property was donated in 1983 to the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation and is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
